Ann-Marie Towers is a Research Fellow at the PSSRU. She is also a member of the Quality and Outcomes of person centred care (QORU) policy research unit. Her research interests include the measurement of outcomes and quality in long-term care, with a specific interest in care homes and older people with Dementia.
Ann-Marie was involved in the development of the care homes version of the ASCOT, a new measure of social care outcomes for use in economic evaluation, and is currently working on research projects to extend its use in quality improvement and monitoring. As part of our on-going support of ASCOT, Ann-Marie runs ASCOT training courses and will be working with colleagues this year to develop a new ‘train the trainer course’ for 2014.
