I am the Senior Research Lead in the Health Experiences Research Group. My background is in Sociology and my research interests are disability, difference, autism, disorder and qualitative methods. I completed my PhD at the University of Warwick in 2006, and began working in HERG as a Qualitative Researcher. I was appointed Senior Research Lead at the end of 2012. My current work is focusing on the use of qualitative data to inform the development of NICE Quality Standards and exploring ways of including more ‘seldom heard’ people in research. I contribute to the MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care, HERG qualitative methods courses and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
